Founded in January 2011, Minus40 is a label which focuses on fashion for cold weather. Owner and creative director Gerda Bērziņa, who has studied art history and advertising, in November 2010 returned from Australia, and realized that she wants something of her own. So Minus40 was established at the beginning offering well known sheepskin boots or valenki . Now Minus40 is known for light, warm and extremely chic clothing & accessories.
Garments are designed in clean lines and classic silhouettes, creating an elegant image. Brand offers limited edition tops, skirts, dresses, sweaters, jackets, coats, leggings and accessories, which have been knitted using soft merino, angora and mohair wool. Conceptual design is an exclusive handmade.
Gerda Bērziņa isn’t oriented on producing clothing for huge masses; actually she is interested in more intimate garment producing process and individual approach to each client. When choosing garments created by Minus40, woman will be not only protected from the frost – she will feel comfortable and look sophisticated.
